Ormskirk Land Tax Records

The Society has produced 3 new CDs containing details of Land Tax Records for the periods 1781-1790, 1799-1805 and 1827-1831.  All CDs include photographed pages of the original records held at Lancashire Archives, Preston, together with transcribed copies of the pages which are in both Word and PDF format.  These are easily searchable and reference can then be made back to the original pages.  As these CDs contain names of those living in Ormskirk before the Census, they will be of great value to those researching ancestors in area.  T1781 CD also has names of the men who worked on the construction of the Town Hall in 1878, whilst both of the other CDs contain surname indexes and extracts from Trade Directories of Ormskirk during the period they cover.

Price for each CD is £5.00 plus postage, or you can purchase all 3 CD's for £10.00.
