BALDWIN / PICKAVANE
I do have a huge family history sent to me by someone in Canada
which goes back to 1719 but really I am interested in the more
recent family which moved to Blackburn around 1890.Perhaps they
lost all contact with Burscough.
William Baldwin married Margaret Forshaw in Wigan in 1837.
My great grandpa was one of 11 born Henry in Burscough in 1848
he married Mary Pickavant in Ormskirk in 1869
They had 7 children and my grandfather Edward was born in
Burscough in 1875 and I have full knowledge of him.
However, I know nothing of his siblings. Catherine 1871, Margaraet
1873,Mary A 1880,Martha 1882,Richard 1884 and Susannah 1887. All
born in Burscough. I suspect the younger ones remained in
Blackburn and I will have to find out from electoral rolls. However,
Catherine and Margaret may have married and stayed in Burscough.
My cousin and I were totally unaware of all these siblings until we started
research so as ever, failed to find out before it was too late!
